We have been searching for just the right medical alert braclet for Lindsey Kate ~ because of her age and the fact she is a type 1 diabetic ~ most of the best practices recommend her wearing some type of alert. Now ~ we are girls and we took one look at the stainless steel yucko braclets at the hospital and said 'NOPE' I did some hunting on the internet and have ordered Lindsey some sports braclets to wear during all her activity from soccer to cheerleading ~ they are velcro with a great closure so that it isn't a hazzard to play wearing ~ and they come in the cutest color patterns of pink camo or butterflies. Very 5 years old ~!
The permanet braclet was picked up yesterday from James Avery. Lindsey is so proud of it ~ they engraved it with Type 1 Diabetic ~ and took out quite a few links of the charm braclet to fit. It's bittersweet as it isn't something you really want to ever buy ~ but it was handled so kindly by James Avery and I can tell Lindsey feels special in it.
