I'm starting to wonder if our night time insulin ~ Lantus ~ is an upper. It suddenly makes Lindsey soooooo excited and happy. She is bouncing off the walls hyper ~ and bedtime is getting later and later. She had no real issue last night but didn't sleep well ~ woke us up for no reason at 12 and 5. She seemed to just be wide awake ~ of course this morning all is well ~ she ate and had normal levels.
Tonight is our cheerleading banquet with Upwards ~ we have had a great season. Lindsey loved it and only missed one practice in all this drama. It will be fun to see her get her trophy tonight ~ normal regularly scheduled life is reassuring.

The Backstory...
Carter, age 8, was diagnosed with dairy and egg allergies virtually at birth when he had a shock reaction to 2 ounces of dairy based formula! Eiks. We run fine now ~ but always a new challenge to snacks, birthday parties and life.
Lindsey, age 5, was diagnosed on February 22, 2010 with Type 1 Juvenile Diabetes. She tests her blood sugar 4 times a day and takes insulin injections 4 times a day. OH, and she still has red hair.
